Yesterday, while surfing the net I stumbled upon a concept called 'literal video'. A literal video uses a video clip of an original music video and the lyrics are replaced with a parody. The parody specifically describes the visuals in the video which makes it very hilarious because almost always the video bears very little resemblance to the lyrics of the original song.
The first literal video was based on A-ha’s - ‘Take on me’ followed shortly by Bonnie Tylers - 'Total Eclipse of the Heart’ Anyone who has seen Bonnie Tylers original video will know that the video makes absolutely no sense. These videos went on to become a YouTube rage and literal versions of several songs have now cropped up.
Many of these videos are available on YouTube. My favorite one is James Blunt – You’re Beautiful. It has more than 7.3 million hits on YouTube.

Not sure if any Hindi songs have been honoured by their own literal versions as yet. Maybe they are too easy.
